Despite the title ‘Bendigo Executive and Director Sleepout’, BEDS has turned out to be anything but only catering for company and business directors and CEOs.
Three days out and among the 134 BEDS participants sleeping out in Bendigo’s central business district on Wednesday night will be Year 12 students from two secondary colleges.
Eight Catholic College Bendigo students have raised $300 each for the ‘privilege’ of sleeping in the Civic Gardens on a night that is expected to drop to three degrees overnight, with frost and fog forecast.
And three Bendigo Senior Secondary College students have been sponsored by Jacinta Allan MP and Rural Finance CEO Dugald Graham.
Girton Grammar Principal Matthew Maruff is also a registered Bed Head and will represent his school.
St Luke’s CEO David Pugh said he was thrilled to have representatives from the three senior secondary colleges.
